I just remembered how beautiful and amazing the film Koyaanisqatsi is, directed by Godfrey Reggio, scored by Philip Glass, and presented by Francis Ford Coppola, what more could you ask for? "Koyaanisqatsi" means "Life out of Balance" in the Hopi language. The film is also part of a trilogy that is often presented at large venues with a live orchestra. I was lucky enough a few years ago to see the film Koyaanisqatsi at Davies Hall with Philip Glass HIMSELF conducting the orchestra in front of the giant screen. Without a doubt one of the best performances I've ever seen. The film portrays the contrast between our natural world and the world we have created, hence another translation of the title "a state of life that calls for another way of living".
My favorite kind of art, no words, just images and sound.
