Mini vacation

Pictures from 2 wonderful days in Palo Alto with my oldest best friend, Jessica. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of my first fraternity party, our lavish visit to The Cheesecake Factory, or our two trips to Jack in the Box, but I can assure you they happened and were also fantastical.

According to Jessica, eating at one of the many gourmet cupcake locations near her house was a vital part of experiencing Palo Alto. She follows this place on Twitter, and by doing so we got free cupcakes, no wonder she goes to Stanford.

DAMMIT, I MISS MY VOLVO

I drove an '86 Volvo in high school that I inherited from my brother. Her name was Sally, and now she's been crushed into what is probably a bedpan somewhere. RIP. I will own an old broken down Volvo again someday if it kills me.

Saw this band last September opening for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs alongside the Oh Sees, now their hit "Psychic City" always plays in my work and the catchiness of it has really gotten to me. They put on an amazing live show with a lot of video/light effects, etc and I recall at the time describing them as an electro dance gothic cult band, my own term of endearment.
