Basquiat

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to Basquiat, but after I graduated I got so into his paintings and his life that it changed the way I looked at art and the art world forever. I wish so badly I had watched the documentary about him, The Radiant Child, years ago before starting school.

"I don't listen to what art critics say. I don't know anybody who needs a critic to find out what art is." -Jean-Michel Basquiat

Moscat

Met a rep recently for Moscat and fell in love with this gorgeous collection. The worse my prescription gets the more I get into fashion eyewear! Moscat has been around since 1899 and is known to be the frame of choice for several public figures....

Portraits

Now that a few months have passed since my art show, I'm ready for my next project. This time I will be doing a series of not-so-standard portraits of all of my friends! These will also be really nice to have in what will be ma futur petit appartement en Paris. Here are some pieces I got some inspiration from. Included in these is work by David Barnes who does a lot of the artwork for Of Montreal. He used to have a personalized portrait service where you would send him a photo of yourself, a list of things you liked, and $100 and within a few weeks you would receive a sweet portrait in the mail!
