Bathtub diaries
The Infinitely Hilarious Facebook Status Updates of Miss Samantha Smart
"why is it so funny to refer to every bald guy as moby? and why do they get so mad?"
"I become a completely different person when I'm stuck walking behind old people."
"i need to get a smart car so my life can finally be a complete and total joke"
"Just realized I've only showered once in the past week. So that's why I look like this...."
"children have been screaming outside of my house for about 3 hours now. not saying any words, just screaming."
"eating french onion dip alone is a bad idea. there's no one there to make you feel bad about yourself, and therefore, no reason to stop eating it."
"how is dexter soooo good? i've never been more certain that i wouldn't care if my boyfriend was a serial killer."
"i physically can't apply to any more jobs. i just can't. 183 is my cut off. I started sending the most ridiculous cover letters that will without a doubt frighten whoever reads them."
"having glass in your feet is not as fun as it sounds. and it probably doesn't sound fun. unless you're a weirdo. in which case we're not friends anymore."
"Sorry liver"

Koyaanisqatsi
I just remembered how beautiful and amazing the film Koyaanisqatsi is, directed by Godfrey Reggio, scored by Philip Glass, and presented by Francis Ford Coppola, what more could you ask for? "Koyaanisqatsi" means "Life out of Balance" in the Hopi language. The film is also part of a trilogy that is often presented at large venues with a live orchestra. I was lucky enough a few years ago to see the film Koyaanisqatsi at Davies Hall with Philip Glass HIMSELF conducting the orchestra in front of the giant screen. Without a doubt one of the best performances I've ever seen. The film portrays the contrast between our natural world and the world we have created, hence another translation of the title "a state of life that calls for another way of living".
My favorite kind of art, no words, just images and sound.

roomies
Right after I caught him reading my diary, classic Mike
Kauro's friend Charlie wanted to dress up like Deadmau5 for Treasure Island and was in need of my hungover crafting abilities and supplies. I've never listened to Deadmau5 before, but am pretty impressed with how our homemade costume turned out, and apparently it held up pretty well throughout the day too...
